Here are some photos from our weekend trip to Amsterdam. I'm sorry about the formatting mess; i have not really figured this out yet and the photos are from different kinds of cameras... You can see everyone's favorite meal involved pancakes and heinekens (that was Addy's second apple pancake meal of the day...) I went to Anne Frank's house alone, and i think alot of other people did that too. There were a few things that were so striking: first just the size and how dark it was... i mean obviously you knew the place where her family hid was small, but actually being inside it i almost didn't believe how many people lived in such a tiny, dark space (lights would have given away that there were people in there) for so long. And then how she was able to decorate her wall with hopeful and cheerful images from newspapers and magazines that were snuck in. What else... yes that's the Red Light District down there; we actually took a guided tour- nope, no photos of the girls allowed.
