Yesterday was my birthday, and it was really nice. I spent the morning in court (spending my birthday with an accused war criminal; what more could i ask for?!?) and went back to the office in the afternoon to write up some reports. The girls (yes, all women in my office; oh, if women ruled the world, how peaceful would it be...) got some absolutely indulgent, delicious chocolate cake and Bosnian coffees for a little birthday party. Here is the cake; thick european chocolate layers, and fresh whipped cream on the top:
I was working on reports on several conflict situations and those countries' legal systems, when there was an "emergency session" at the ICTY in The Hague, so i watched that and wrote this report.
Will write more later; i am running out of batteries. Here is the view from the balcony in the apartment. I obviously have not figued out how to rotate photos on blog yet... maybe you can just turn your head sideway... oops!
